Deposit and Savings Account Numbering
Details are provided below. Please submit the application form if you agree with numbering of your deposit and savings accounts.
1. Scope of deposit and savings account numbering
If you wish the numbering, we will confirm all deposit and savings accounts you have with the Bank with your information including your name and address etc to number the accounts. You cannot select target accounts and you cannot cancel numbering after completion.
Your latest name and address etc must be registered for the accounts you have with the Bank, since all deposit and savings accounts will be confirmed with your information including your name and address etc.
If the customer wishes, numbering for other financial institutions can be done at the same time (designated business category, or designation of up to five individual financial institutions).
2. Use of Individual Number
Individual Number of a depositor will be used for identifying the depositor's deposit and saving accounts in the procedures under the
Income Tax Act, the Livelihood Protection Law, the Deposit and Insurance Act and other laws and regulations.
Each financial institution will manage all deposit and savings accounts of its customers with their Individual Number.
3. Advantages of numbering deposit and saving accounts
<Inquiring at the time of inheritance>
The bereaved family can query the ancestor's main financial institution in their inheritance procedures if the ancestor has numbered
his/her deposit and savings accounts in advance. However, inquiry fees are required for inquiries by the bereaved family.
<Inquiring at the time of disaster>
At the time of a disaster such as earthquake, you can check whether an account exists with your main
financial institution at the counter of the financial institution in the area to which you have evacuated, even if the area does not have your
main financial institution or you do not have your passbook, etc.
