1. Registration of Public Money Receipt Account

By registering your deposit account information and your Individual Number (My Number) with the government (Digital Agency) in advance, you will no longer need to fill out your bank account information on application forms or attach a copy of your bank passbook. This also means that government agencies will not have to verify your account information for applications related to benefit payments, such as emergency relief funds. In addition to emergency relief funds, this account can be used to receive a wide range of benefit payments, including pensions, child allowances, and income tax refunds.

2. How to Register the Public Money Receipt Account

Please send us the following documents if you wish to register a public money receipt account:

- Only accounts that allow deposits and withdrawals can be registered. Accounts with transaction restrictions cannot be registered.

- A separate procedure is necessary if there is a change in your name or address.

- A separate procedure is necessary if there is change in your Individual Number registered with our bank. The status of “Individual Number Registration Status” (past registration status) for the account stated in the application can be confirmed in PowerDirect under “Registered Information” > “Register My Number for funds transfer from overseas”. (This cannot be confirmed with the SBI Shinsei Bank app)
If you are not sure about your Individual Number registration status, the contact center will call you back and provide the information, so please enter the preferred time and other required information on the Call Back Reservation Form.

- Registration of your seal and signature is required before sending your application if you opened your SBI Securities account and SBI Shinsei Bank account simultaneously via SBI Securities website. If you have any questions, please contact us through Web Form Consultation.

- If the application is being made by a legal representative(parent, adult guardian, etc.), the Contact Center will contact you by phone, so please enter the preferred time and other required information on the Call Back Reservation Form.

3. Notice of the result of registration

Result of the registration will be notified by the Digital Agency.
If you have a My Number Portal account, the notice will be sent to the My Number Portal. If you do not have a My Number Portal account, the notice will be sent by post.
