Individual Number (My number)

Since January 2016, Individual Number (My Number) has been used for administrative procedures related to social security, taxation, and disaster relief. Consequently, customers who wish to make transactions the Bank specifies are required to notify the Bank of their Individual Number.

Following transactions are required by law to notify the Bank of their Individual Number (My number)

Overseas Remittance	Funds transfer from overseas to PowerFlex account
Overseas Remittance	GoRemit overseas remittance services: New application, registration
Investment trust Financial products purchased at SBI SECURITIES Co., Ltd. / Monex, Inc. through SBI Shinsei Bank	SBI SECURITIES Co., Ltd. / Monex, Inc. account: Account opening , Change of address / name*
Maruyu (Tax-exempt for disabled person)	New application
Maruyu (Tax-exempt for disabled person)	Change of tax exemption limit/address/name

*: Customers opening a SBI SECURITIES Co., Ltd. / Monex, Inc. account and current SBI SECURITIES Co., Ltd. / Monex, Inc. account holders will be required to notify their Individual Number (My Number) when changing address or name. SBI Shinsei Bank will only act as an intermediary for SBI SECURITIES Co., Ltd. / Monex, Inc.

Since January 2018, SBI Shinsei Bank has added "administrative operations related to deposit and savings account numbering" in purposes of using Individual Number and personal information including Individual Number and has been asking customers to submit their Individual Number (My Number) to the Bank. However, the scope of the deposit and savings account numbering will change by the Act on Management of Deposit and Savings Accounts by Use of Individual Numbers Based on the Will of Depositors enforced in April 2024. Verification Document

The following identification documents can be used for registering your Individual Number. Please choose from any combination from 1-3.

1. Individual Number Card (with your photo on it)

2. Notification Card

Notification Card cannot be used for the submission of your Individual Number if its information (name, address, etc.) has changed on or after May 25, 2020.

3. Certified Copy of Resident Register or Certificate of Items Stated in Resident Register on which the Individual Number is printed

Please note that the Certified Copy and the Certificate mentioned above must be original, not a copy, and that your name, date of birth, gender, address and Individual Number must be printed on it.

Note:

Verification documents/cards must be valid or issued within the last six months.
Your registered domicile stated on the cards and documents should be blacked out.
